Buying a 70×140 cm Mattress Protector — The Complete Guide
A 70×140 cm mattress protector is designed for children's beds. Unlike a fitted sheet, it sits underneath your regular bedding as an invisible barrier — protecting your mattress from spills, sweat, dust mites, and everyday wear, so it stays fresh for years longer.
Terra Beds' protector uses an 80% cotton, 20% polyester surface (150 g/m²) bonded to a 100% waterproof membrane. This combination blocks liquids completely while still letting air circulate, so you don't wake up hot or sweaty the way you might with fully plastic-backed protectors.
The 4 elastic corner bands grip mattresses up to 30 cm thick, so it's a secure, no-slip fit. Machine washable at up to 60°C, it's easy to keep fresh between washes.

Frequently Asked Questions About the 70×140 cm Mattress Protector
No — unlike fully plastic-backed protectors, Terra Beds uses a breathable 80% cotton surface bonded to a thin waterproof membrane. Air can still circulate, so you won't overheat the way you might with cheaper, all-plastic protectors.
No. The cotton surface is completely silent — there's no crinkling or rustling plastic sound when you move at night, unlike many budget waterproof protectors.
Our 70×140 cm protector uses 4 elastic corner bands that stretch to fit mattresses up to 30 cm thick, including memory foam and pocket-spring mattresses. For other sizes, check our full range.
Machine washable at up to 60°C. Tumble drying on low is safe. Avoid fabric softener, as it can reduce the waterproof coating's effectiveness over time.
